• HOBBY
• Listening music: Almost all kind of music, especially those with distinctive national features, but not heavy metal.
• Taking photograph: With my old mildewed transparencies, I have lost the strong spirit when holding the camera. Now I only take shoots when logging some daily activities.
• Watching movies: Films about war, biography/history and science-fiction are most preferable.

My main area of undergraduate study was Electronic Engineering with some telecom courses such as communication theory, transmission and switching principles, etc. After graduate and military service, I got a job in Data Communications Institute of Chunghwa Telecom and worked on computer information system. After 8-years works in Chunghwa Telecom, I took the opportunity of the de-regulation of telecom business and joined the first private telecom company in Taiwan dealing with application service development, business operation and management, and making a start-up from there for newly de-regulated wireless business in 1997. In year 2000, I dropped out from telecom business and joined Global View, a consumer electronic company. I was in charged of product management and development coordination between Taipei, Beijing and Kuenshan. In all these years as I gone through the 3C industries (Computer, Communication, Consumer), there is always a dream in my mind: I should integrate them all together someday!

Life is full of sense of humor to me. Back to 1975 when I was studying in Hsinchu, an old town without any neon light, I didn’t pay any attention to this city at that time. All my memory of her was the road from Chiao Tung University to Hsinchu railway station on my way back to Taipei, my home. After all these years of working wandering, I was led back to her, a “hi-tech city” now full of neon lights that I couldn’t even recognize, to pursue my dream in ITRI.
